Challenge
TradePoint were looking to increase the effectiveness of their traditional monthly printed trade flyers, particularly within increasingly difficult Covid restricted times. There were particular challenges around supply, store availability and price stability. Uncertain times required a different way of working.

At the time Pilot had a 10 year working relationship with B&Q, mainly creating and project managing literature project production processes. Digital had been a solution we’d been developing for 9 months.

Solution
The digital solution enabled a print ready PDF to be transformed into a digitally reactive piece of communication sent via monthly trade e-campaigns. We proposed to manage it as a one-stop-shop solution from PDF to end campaign link. It was phone, PC and tablet friendly enabling traders to shop directly online and provided useful customer analytics.

Result
Each digital campaign flyer was created within a 5 day window, providing last minute flexibility (content and pricing can be changed instantly on the fly) with valuable customer insight feedback. There was also the ability to add audio, video and QR driven content.

For the first time TradePoint and B&Q had a market leading reactive digital solution that after 6 months was to be developed further for customer facing brochures and product guides
