B&Q Bathroom Brochure

literature

Challenge
We’ve been helping B&Q to produce brochures and literature since 2012. This has included kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, joinery, fires and radiators including buying and price guides. This involves incorporating the latest brand guidelines at any given time. However as in January this can often fall between an outgoing and incoming brand revision, plus in addition the latest brochure design didn’t adapt to a thicker perfect bound format.

Solution
We carefully reviewed the latest printed copies and applied a ‘design for print’ process, we created style setter pages to show how we would adapt the design to better suit the perfect bound process, making better use of imagery and white space, and created an ‘in between’ brand style that would sit comfortably between the outgoing and incoming styles. We also re-engineered the front customer journey buying process section, both visually and its content text.

Result
The in house publications team and design studio were extremely impressed with the end result, both from a brand, design, legibility and final printed product viewpoint.
